Today Amanda and I headed over to the first day of the farmer's market that they hold every Wednesday on Campus. It was a pleasant day for a walk to the main part of campus. We got some green beans that we steamed for lunch once we got back to the office. Along with the beans we had some Trader Joe's organic whole wheat pasta which TJ's sells for $1.29 a pound. Normally I buy Creamette's pasta when it is on sale for $1.00, getting organic whole wheat pasta for about a quarter more maybe worth it. On top of that we had Mid's meat pasta sauce, it (along with the pasta) was quite tasty. The Mid's is about $3-4 a jar, but we barely put a dent in it because it is a 32 oz. jar. Spaghetti again I guess. All said the lunch was about 400 calories, not too bad seeing how I am full. Small meals, many times a day. Taka decided to up his calorie intake to 1500; I think that is about where I have been averaging. I think that I will eat many small light meals during the day, then a healthy delicious dinner. I think that the key to both Taka and I losing weight is to eat less. But I also really need to workout to build some muscles and increase my endurance as well. Right now I am really avoiding junk food, especially candy.
Tonight when I get home I think that I am going to take some photos of my garden. Hopefully I will be able to post the photos tomorrow. Photos, that might be fun for a change.Fresh veggies...yum!
