Yesterday when I got home from work, Taka and I went for another bike ride. This time when we got to the spot where we had turned around yesterday, we kept going, and going, and going.
WOW!!! It was incredible. We never knew that such beautiful trails were right down the street from us. We biked through parks, around ponds, and even along the river for a while. We finally turned around and went home. Today I am looking up maps of bike trails in the area. Markus, a student that I work with, told me to go to mapmyrun.com because then I might be able to figure out the distance that we biked since neither of us has a computer for our bike (it's on the wish list). I went to the site, and if it is accurate, then it turns out that we biked about 5 miles on Tuesday night and biked around 11 miles last night. The paths that we were following were pretty flat, not very difficult, which is a nice way to start. Later today Taka is going to pick me up and we are going to head over to freewheel bike shop to pick up a roof rack for our car. Then after the rack is attached and we are all packed up, Taka and I will be heading out to meet up with Dave and Kelly at Bob's Cabin near Black River Falls Wisconsin.
Wow!
